Rally Schedule

Slaughterhouse 31 and Midwest Vespa Days don’t both fit in a regular weekend, so we’ve expanded to add more events on Thursday and Sunday. Plan for a busy four days, and pace yourself! All ride details can be found on the Rides and Routes page.

Thursday, August 28

12-1 pm
Lunch at Garage Bar and Sandwiches (meal not included in registration.)

Early Arrivals Meet and Greet at Shortfuse Brewing Co., 5000 N River Road, Schiller Park, featuring appetizers and DJs Jeffrey Gilman and Michelle “Ivana Riot” Kelly, courtesy of Craig Easly, Realtor. ✔️ Registration/check-in/merch sales open. Venue is near the hotel, and offers a full menu for dinner. Try Shortfuse “Brew and Oink” Slaughterhouse Wheat Ale! 

8pm
Ride back to hotel and parking garage party (see “Rides” page)

9 pm

Scooterworks Breakfast Ride departs hotel scooter parking area to Scooterworks Chicago  ♣️  5410 N Damen, Chicago. (see “Rides” page)

9:30-11 am
Breakfast Tacos by New Rose Catering, with ✔️registration/check-in/merch sales at Scooterworks Chicago.

10-10:30 am
Scooter Blessings by Rev. Sean at Scooterworks

10:45 am
Scooterworks North Shore Ride. (see “Rides” page)

12:00 pm
Late-Risers Catchup Ride
to meet up with North Shore Ride for lunch. (see “Rides” page)

1 pm
Scooterworks and hotel rides meet at Superdawg (6363 N. Milwaukee Avenue). Meal not included in registration.

2-6 pm
Return to Scooterworks Chicago  ♣️ for maintenance workshops, scooter demos, ✔️ rally check-in, merch sales, and on-site tattoos!

6-7:30 pm
Free time
: refresh at the hotel, visit ♣️ poker run stops, and/or have dinner.

7:30-11:30 pm
Concert
 at Martyrs’(3855 N. Lincoln) featuring  The Handsome Devilz and The Crombies.
(No reg/check-in — Registered rallygoers will be on the guest list. Additional tickets ($10) are available from Martyrs’  while they last.)

11:30 pm
Midnight Ride

Saturday, August 30

7:15 am

Joliet Prison Ride/Tour

Frank Lloyd Wright/Pig Roast Ride

Pig Roast at Motoworks Chicago
, 1901  S. Western Ave, Chicago
Chow down on some pork (o.k. fine there are also veggie options) and check out Motoworks completely remodeled shop!

2pm
Return to Hotel after Pig Roast (see “Rides” page)

3 pm – 6 pm
✔️ Registration/check-in/merch sales open (kiosk in hotel lobby)

3 pm – 6 pm
Games and Concours (top floor of hotel parking garage) polish up your bikes for the Concours d’Elegance, and try your luck/skills at the Gymkhana, slow race, and try the Skyway “Toll Booth.”

7-10 pm
Banquet (at hotel) featuring dinner. Open only to those who pre-registered by Aug 14 – no walk-in registrations or guests. After food is served, we’ll open the room to all registered rallygoers for awards (concours, games, poker run) and the raffle, including the Bluesmobile raffle!

Later:
Parking garage ride-in movies, explore the fabulous Parkway Bank Park nightlife, or perhaps a casino excursion?

Sunday, August 31

(note: 11am is  hotel checkout time, you may check out early and check bags at the front desk)

9:00 am – 11:50 am
Oak Trees and Coffees Ride (see “Rides” page) including a coffee/breakfast stop. Ends at Emily Oaks Nature Center 

12:15 pm – 3 pm
“Chicago World Food Tour” departs Emily Oaks Nature Center 4650 Brummel Street, Skokie.(see “Rides” page)

3 pm – 7 pm
Reggae Dance Party at DMen Tap (2849 West Belmont, Chicago), featuring Rust Belt Boss Reggae and F.C.S. Soundsystem DJ’ing classic reggae, ska, rocksteady, soul, and more. DMen offers fantastic Doner Kebab, Currywurst, Malört Ice Cream, and much more.

7 pm
Hala Boi” Ride (see “Rides” page)

8 pm
Wind down with a fancy drink at Hala Kahiki, 2934 River Road, River Grove. It’s Chicago’s original tiki bar, dating back to 1964. For years, the Slaughterhouse organizers have gathered here after the rally, this year since it’s so close to the hotel, we’re inviting everyone along!
